AWM, you and Muscian complement each other beautifully. Most moving rendition of Ghalib’s poem. Thanks a lot indeed. BTW: A reminder simply: As in the past, I still am unable to read the Urdu script and therefore incapable of writing back when views are expressed in that language. I’m a child of the British Raj (thank God we got rid of them finally) and therefore English and English alone was shoved down our throats. Thank God those days are now long past. The Brits have gone but parts of their sad legacy still cling to some of us.
